Windows phone 7 series the good the bad …

Earlier today, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced Windows Phone 7 Series at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The new operating system is a bold move for Microsoft, which is looking to reinvigorate its mobile strategy. But how bold is Windows Phone 7 Series in context of other mobile platforms?

That’s the question this post seeks to answer. Because I’m miserably sick with the flu today, I’ll limit this post to three areas: Windows Phone 7 Series as Microsoft’s mobile Manhattan Project, mobile applications competition and garnering developer interest.1. Mobile Manhattan ProjectThe Good.

Finally, Microsoft is on a path of reinvention, which its mobile operating system desperately needed.

Windows Phone 7 is something new, deriving heritage from Zune.

Windows Phone 7 Series is a refreshing departure from Windows Mobile it demos well, anyway. Microsoft finally is making the kind of commitment necessary to once again be a major competitor in the handset market.

Microsoft also seems to have at least some sense about how the mobile device market is changing. Last week, IDC reported that the mobile sector, which now is an $850 billion market, accounts for nearly 60 percent of the global telecom market.

I really like Final Draft, but it's not free. Try Celtx. It works pretty well. http://celtx.com/

How do you call this kind of software that displays on the screen the lyrics you're supposed to say? For example, they use it in the TV studios when they're airing live. This way the tv host is looking at the camera but at the same time he is also reading his script he's supposed to say, displayed on the screen? It's also known as AUTO Q but I couldn't find anything about it under this name when I googled it. PS: Don't mix this up with Karaoke! I'm not talking about that kind of software.

Teleprompter or autocue.

Hi, I'm interested in making short flash movies (most likely one minute, maybe two minutes at most) and I was wondering what is the best software that is free. I've heard of toufee and powerbullet and was wondering which, or any others in that case, are the most efficient and will give good results. I am willing to learn some scripting/coding whatever you want to call it if it is necessary.

Adobe Flash CS3/CS4/CS5 is very powerful, but it maybe too professional to beginners. You can try some "Free flash movie maker" by searching at Google. That will be easy. Seems Toufee is a choice for you. If you want to learn more, here are places to get you started (tutorials): http://www.w3schools.com/Flash/default.asp http://www.flashkit.com/
