Web help desk software

I have aToshiba Satellite A215-S5849 with windows vista on it. How can I get connected to the web anywhere? I have a Belkin router set up at home with my desk PC and just recently purchased a wireless g card (brand name – my essentials) from office depot.

My wi-fi and DSL provider is AT&T. The problem is that my wireless g card is not responding to my laptop or not working at all.

Is there something I need to do in order to get wi-fi outside of my home?

Because my at&t wi-fi connect page says “NO CARD DETECTED”. I have installed the software for the card, but not responding to it. What should i do?

I've been looking at heat sinks for CPU's and in the reviews, people are saying what their processor is running at. How do they know? Do they have some software or hard ware or what?

Based on consolidated results obtained from various review sites I have learned the following: ATI's X1900XTX PROS 1) Best overall performance from consolidating the various reviews. 2) Slightly better image quality in the form of more vibrant colors and HQ AF. 3) Ability to do HDR & AA. 4) Software voltage adjustments, which is a plus for overclockers. 5) Cheaper than Nvidia's 7900GTX. CONS 1) For users who know nothing about computers, ATI's CCC is more bloated than Nvidia's Control Panel. 3) Runs about 10 degrees hotter than the Nvidia's 7900GTX. 4) Louder 5) Linus support isn't as good as Nvidia's. DO YOU AGREE OR DISAGREEE WITH THESE RESULTS? I am interested in hearing from actual users of these products and am most concerned with image quality and PC game compatibilty. I am not worried about heat or noise, since the SLI set-up will be water cooled. Your feedback will help me make the right purchasing decision. Thank you.

ATI's X1900 XTX is the new king of graphic cards.It promised flexible and excellant architectural and performance enhancement this is due to new memory Ring Architecture and very efficient dispatch processor. This card is performed better in all tests except OpenGL segment.This is the best 3D gaming card.
Hi I'm looking to buy a new laptop for myself, I've narrowed it down to 2 laptops, a mac and a PC! the first is the Dell XPS studio 13 http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Dell... and the second is the Apple MacBook Aluminium Notebook http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Upda... both of them are coming very similar in price, so thats not an issue. i just want to know opinions about these two laptops by anyone who has used them or even if they haven't. or is anyone can suggest any other laptop in the same price range with the same features. or any pro/cons. the only problem that i find with the dell is that it heats up, the vent is right below the screen. the reviews say it heats up faster than the mac. secondly i've never used a mac but i'm willing to change, and leave windows (the only problem is that this dell will come with a vista, and if i have to learn either software, i'd rather learn mac) the laptop would be used for softcore gaming, making notes and research! basic university stuff! thanks p.s. i'm not looking for a large screen, coz i'll be carrying the laptop everywhere.

I would say get the mac. If you've never used one, prepare for an adjustment process, but its really not bad. I bought one last summer, after using one in the lab and a friend's for a while, so I was familiar with the controls. Now that I'm really used to using it, I feel like I am way more productive on my mac than I ever would be on a windows machine. You may occasionally have a small crash or other problem, but its nothing compared to what I've gone through in my experience on others. I think they have way better resale value as well, and the new ones are awesome! Another plus is that they are considerably lighter than most alternatives.
