10 points for the best site recommended. What is the best web conferencing software? My mother would like to have video conferencing with my sister and her new baby who live out of town. She bought some decent web cams for each of them. I suggested Skype for the video conference, but they weren’t happy with the quality. I pay for my own server space, so I was wondering if there was a program out there that would let ME host their video conferencing using my own bandwidth to give them a better picture. We went through this in my IT department a couple of years ago. We decided that a wiki was a superior solution to anything designed specifically as a knowledge base. We went with Dokuwiki ( http://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuwiki ) because Dokuwiki doesn't use a database, everything is flat text files. We made it search-able with a Tomcat server. We have been extremely happy with it ever since. We like it so much that we don't use Word anymore. We write EVERYTHING as a Wiki page.
I would say that you need to get your foot in the door, probably an entry level position. One item that would conern a potential employer is that you haven't worked since December of 2005. Another is 2 of the 3 jobs were only held for 3 months and 6 months. You may want to look into a contract position. They don't usually worry about your work history. It is more of a opportunity for the employer to try you out, then hire if the situation permits. Also as a contractor, you can have a current work history and gain additional skill sets. I would try looking for jobs in your area on Dice.com. This will at least give you some ideas of contract companies. I prefer Robert Half if available in your area. Best Wishes!
