Ibm completes security acquisition

IBM said it completed the acquisition of a systems vendor with links to the Department of Homeland Security, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Defense, and other security-related government agencies.National Interest Security Company, of Fairfax, VA, was bought out by IBM for an undisclosed sum, the company said Tuesday. The deal includes NISC affiliate Technology and Management Services, Inc.

NISC specializes in handling sensitive tech work for defense and security agencies. It counts more than 1,000 employees, the majority of whom carry top-secret security clearances.

Its Board of Directors includes former CIA director Michael Hayden, and five retired U.S. Armed Forces generals or admirals.

The firm’s president, Andrew Maner, is a former chief financial officer at DHS and a former chief of staff at Customs and Border Protection. IBM said it was drawn to NISC’s expertise in fields such as systems engineering, biometrics, software development, critical infrastructure protection, and “media exploitation,” which involves forensic examination of digital media files in criminal or military investigations.

Most recently, NISC was tapped by DHS for an $8.8 million, 42-month contract to support the agency’s Partnership and Outreach Division. IBM said the acquisition of NISC would complement the data analytics services it provides to civilian agencies and departments.

Or is that just something else altogether?

You will need Medical Terminology to do transcription. Depending on the specialty (if any) you may want to do an online course that just specializes in your area. If you want to do transcription for a variety of practices, you will need much more extensive terminology training. Billing and coding is a different animal all together.

A. print the original using a laser printer, make two copies for yourself using a copy machine, and then fax one copy to the customer. B. use a 24-pin dot matrix printer with multipart carbon paper. C. send the original from your accounting clerk’s PC to the customer’s fax machine, then make three inkjet printouts. D. print out the bills using a laser printer, scan them into a file, and e-mail the bills.

Well!!!!!! Bill of materials (BOM) is a list of the raw materials, sub-assemblies, intermediate assemblies, sub-components, components, parts and the quantities of each needed to manufacture an end item. It includes all substitute and alternate part numbers, and includes parts that are contained in drawing notes. BOM information: * Product code (often called a style no. for fabric or input) * Product description * Vendor * Cuttable Width, size (buttons) or length (zippers) * Test results (shrinkage, lead etc) * Estimated/actual yield (allocation, qty used) * Required processing (sponging, dyeing, enzyme bath etc) Here are few example

When preparing a claim for billing, it is necessary to know whether the patient is a new patient or an established patient. What is the difference between a new and an established patient, and why is this distinction important when billing and coding?

A new patient has never been seen in the practice. As a results more time is required in their evaluation. The distinction is important because for a given coding level, new patient charges are higher than established.
