Just 'paying everything off' does not necessarily fix your credit score. What WILL work, is charging on a credit card, and ALWAYS paying at least the minimum amount ON TIME, each month. it can take 4 to 7 years to create a very good credit score.
Mine is in the 800's..as I always pay on time, and never cancel any credit cards..(That can also affect your score.!
