Crm solution software

I have a small business client looking for this kind of solution. She prefers a SaaS (on-Demand) web accessed solution rather than installed software.

Here are some of the particulars – An ever growing list of contractor with a broad range of specialties – Need to access from a variety of locations – Need to schedule FOR a variety of clients some of which have multiple locations – Would also like to schedule 60 months in advance Online scheduling & CRM w/Quickbooks integration for a small business client. Any ideas? I am searching for a better solution for our company.

I am trying to determine if it is ‘the norm’ (for small business) to utilize different applications to do each of these things (since the all-in-one applications that can handle everything appear to be much more expensive), resulting in a considerable amount on double entry.

I’m just trying to confirm if this is actually what other small businesses are doing or not. Do most small businesses use different pieces of software for CRM, Accounting and Inventory?

What is the software used in CRM solutions? What may be the cost of a CRM software solution? What is the average cost of a CRM software solution?

Can any one suggest free or open source CRM solution for medium sized business.
