Can a collection agency put your debt on…

in 2005 i was in the hospital and receive a neurology consultation. Dx with MS from another Neurologist Dr. Today I received a letter from a collection agency for balance of $385. they stated that they were the second agency to try and collect this balance.

But because i am disable and unable to work. they told me today that were going to forward the balance to both me and husband's credit because Texas is community property state.

when i received the consultation the insurance was in only my name because i was working. I never put husband's name on anything.

I was still using my maiden name. Can the collection agency put my debt for hospital consultation on my husband's credit? In a community property state such as Texas, if you were already married then yes the collection agency can put your debt on your spouse' credit report.

Yes it can, simply because there is a flat surface to place the notebook on. Putting the notebook on your lap, pillow or any other soft surface will build heat.

I have crabs! Hermit crabs : ) I need to make my 20g tank warmer. We have all the correct substrate. I just upgraded to a glass cover to keep the heat and humidity in. I am still having problems keeping it warm and humid. I have a 60 watt desk lamp and was wondering if I can just buy a 60 watt heat bulb and my lamp wont explode? I had bought the whole shebang heat lamp fixtures and 75 watt heat bulb, but I feel like the lamp is TOO large and the bulb is TOO hot for my little hermit crabs. (I also have a very low warming pad that doesn't do much unless you put your face to the glass) Any one use a heat bulb with a desk lamp? Also, any ideas on how to create more humidity? I asked the guy at petco for help and he said "why would you even spend that much money on hermit crabs" ahh made me so mad >.< . 2 of our smallest crabs died this past week and it breaks my heart every time : ( help me please!

The desk lamp will work fine. You can use a regular 60w bulb, it doesn't have to be a special basking bulb or anything. Do you have therms in the tank to see exactly what the temps are? The stick on types aren't very accurate, so a digital one or a temp gun is better. You can always get a more powerful UTH, but it will most likely have to be regulated by a thermostat or rheostat or it will get too hot. This will help with humidity, too, as lamps tend to dry out the air. You can put a water bowl over the heat pad to increase humidity. A bigger bowl will create more humidity but I'm not sure what is recommended for hermit crabs, so don't put anything that is too deep for them or anything. You can soak a sponge in water and put it in their tank every day. I would normally suggest covering the top of the tank, but since you already got a glass cover, there's not much you can do there. I would find a site completely dedicated to hermit crabs for any further advice. You'll find the most knowledgeable people on a forum like that instead of here.

How much knowledge do I need ? will they train me ? My attraction to the role is that I will get to learn new things and work inside away from the heat. I am looking for a part time help desk role so I can go to University. I am in Australia. Any advice ? is this realisitc and achievable ?

I did software support for years but now most is outsourced so few jobs available. We required degrees since about 1995 before that people just learned on their own. My degree is in accounting but I supported software and some hardware and operating systems. You need to be a creative thinker since there aren't set answers for most problems. While working a job the operating systems keep changing so you need to be able to figure things out. I remember when Windows 95 was in Beta and a customer installed our software on it when we had never seen it. We logged on to his system and the dos prompt was gone. The screen resolution was so we couldn't see the tool bar so no idea how to get to the operating system. We called the customer and he told us what he did and told us there was a tool bar with start at the bottom. It took a long time to get used to it when you are used to DOS or Unix or VMS with a prompt to type commands. I never took any operating system lessons but was an expert in VMS and Unix from learning what I needed to know. Took me a long time to be willing to move files in windows I was afraid they would be deleted or go places I couldn't find them. Now I use windows instead of using the dos prompt to manage files.

How does a desk fan effect the air conditioning in an office environment. My thoughts are, that the fan disrupts the airflow which most likely delivers a false reading to the unit via the temperature sensor, causing the affected unit to heat. Anyway, does anyone know technically what actually happens or have a link to a website that can help as above is just really a guess? Cheers,

A fan only affects your skin, not the temperature of the office or the thermostat. Cheers
